Please read the full agreement before you sign. It includes a release of liability: tuning can damage a vehicle, you are responsible for operating it safely, and J.R. Jones Racing LLC is not liable for damage. You sign once; it covers every revision on this order.

J.R. Jones Racing LLC Tuning Service Agreement and Release of Liability

1. The service

You are purchasing a custom remote engine-control (ECM/PCM) tuning service from J.R. Jones Racing LLC ("JRJ") for the vehicle, engine, and build listed on this order. Each delivered .hpt file is a digital, customer-specific engine tune service deliverable, not a physical product. The tune is built only for the vehicle and modifications you report and must not be used on any other vehicle.

2. You and your information

You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you own the vehicle or have the owner's permission to modify it. You confirm that the vehicle information, modifications, and files you provide are accurate and complete. JRJ relies on this information to build your tune. Inaccurate or incomplete information can cause poor running or damage and may require additional work, and JRJ is not responsible for results caused by it.

3. Delivery timeline

JRJ's target for delivering Revision 1 is 24 to 72 weekday hours after all of the following are received: this signed agreement, complete vehicle and modification information, and a readable stock tune file. Weekends, holidays, and delays caused by missing information, files, or logs are excluded. The delivery timeline is a target, not a guarantee.

4. Revisions

Custom Remote Tune orders include up to five delivered tune revisions. Base Tune orders include two delivered revisions unless your order states otherwise. Revisions are based on the datalogs and feedback you provide by following JRJ's instructions.

5. Your safety responsibilities

Tuning changes how your engine and transmission operate. You agree to:

(a) keep a saved copy of your original stock tune file;

(b) make sure the vehicle is mechanically sound and properly maintained before flashing any tune;

(c) use the fuel type and octane the tune was built for;

(d) test and datalog only in a safe, controlled, and lawful setting, never in a way that endangers you or anyone else;

(e) watch your gauges and datalogs, and stop driving and contact JRJ right away if anything is abnormal, including knock, warning lights, overheating, abnormal fuel pressure, smoke, or unusual noises; and

(f) follow JRJ's flashing, datalogging, and revision instructions.

You alone are responsible for how the vehicle is operated.

6. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

YOU UNDERSTAND THAT ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION TUNING AND VEHICLE MODIFICATION ARE INHERENTLY DANGEROUS. THE RISKS INCLUDE, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGE TO OR FAILURE OF THE ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, DRIVETRAIN, FUEL SYSTEM, OR OTHER COMPONENTS; LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL; FIRE; PROPERTY DAMAGE; SERIOUS INJURY; AND DEATH. YOU KNOWINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL OF THESE RISKS.

7. RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU RELEASE, WAIVE, AND DISCHARGE J.R. JONES RACING LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS FROM ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, AND LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE, LOSS, INJURY, OR DEATH ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE TUNING SERVICE, ANY TUNE FILE, FLASHING OR DATALOGGING, OR THE USE OR OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE, INCLUDING CLAIMS BASED ON NEGLIGENCE.

8. NO WARRANTY

THE TUNING SERVICE AND ALL TUNE FILES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS." JRJ MAKES NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ANY SPECIFIC POWER, PERFORMANCE, OR FUEL-ECONOMY RESULT. RESULTS VARY WITH EVERY VEHICLE.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JRJ'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THIS SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE TUNING SERVICE. JRJ IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING REPAIR COSTS, TOWING, LOSS OF USE, OR LOST TIME OR INCOME.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless JRJ and its members, owners, employees, and agents from any claim, damage, or expense, including reasonable attorney fees, brought by you or any third party that arises from your use of the tune, the operation of the vehicle, or your breach of this agreement.

11. Laws, emissions, and warranties

You are responsible for complying with all federal, state, and local laws that apply to your vehicle and its use, including emissions, inspection, and traffic laws. Changing engine calibration can affect emissions compliance and inspection results and can void manufacturer or extended warranties. JRJ is not responsible for any fines, failed inspections, or warranty denials.

12. Receipt, refunds, and disputes

Downloading, flashing, using, or submitting logs or feedback from a revision confirms that you received and used that revision. Tuning work begins after intake and is not a physical shipment. Refund eligibility is governed by the terms accepted at purchase and this agreement. Before filing any payment dispute or chargeback, you agree to contact JRJ through your portal so the issue can be resolved.

13. Electronic signature and records

Typing your full legal name and checking the agreement box is your electronic signature and has the same effect as a handwritten signature. JRJ records the date and time, your IP address and device information, the agreement version, and a fingerprint of this text. This agreement applies to every revision and version delivered on this order.

14. Entire agreement and severability

This agreement and the terms accepted at purchase are the entire agreement between you and JRJ for this service. If any part of this agreement is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect.

Pre-Tuning Inspection Checklist

Complete this checklist to help ensure a smoother, more accurate tuning process and prevent avoidable delays.

Complete every applicable item before attempting to start the engine.

Intake leaks can create unmetered airflow.

Exhaust leaks can cause false O2 readings and incorrect fuel trims.

Battery voltage

A tune cannot correct improper plug installation, misfires, wiring faults, poor grounds, incorrect sensor or injector data, intake leaks or exhaust leaks.

Jason selects the exact controller files delivered with Revision 1.

What happens next: After we review your stock read and identify your PCM, your first revision will include the logging files selected for your controller. These may include controller-specific datalog instructions, the required PID list, and an applicable HP Tuners layout. Follow the included instructions before recording your datalog. When submitting your log, briefly tell us how the vehicle is running. More detail helps us review your tune faster.
