REV 2 — BASIC DRIVING TEST

REV 2 is our first basic driving test. We are checking normal driving, shifts, RPM, fueling, and overall behavior before moving on to harder testing.

1.

Open VCM Scanner and start recording before you begin driving.

2.

Drive the vehicle normally using light to moderate throttle.

3.

Include some normal stop-and-go driving so we can see takeoff, normal acceleration, and how the vehicle shifts through the gears.

4.

Try to let the vehicle go through all available gears when possible.

5.

Do not make any wide-open-throttle pulls yet. Just normal, easy driving.

6.

If anything feels wrong or concerning, stop the test and let me know.

7.

When finished, stop the recording, save the data log, and upload it for review.

Once I review the REV 2 log, we can make the next adjustments and move on to the next step.

REV 1 — START & IDLE ONLY

For REV 1, we are checking start, idle, and RPM drop when placed in gear. Do not drive the vehicle yet. We want to verify everything looks good before moving on.

1.

Turn the key to ON/ACC without starting the vehicle.

2.

Open VCM Scanner and hit Record.

3.

Start the vehicle and let it idle for 10–15 minutes while recording. We want to give it time to relearn at idle.

4.

Shut the vehicle off and save the data log.

5.

Start a second recording, restart the vehicle, and let it idle again for a few minutes. There is no specific time limit on this one—we just want to see the data after the initial relearn.

6.

While still recording and holding the brake, slowly move the shifter through each gear without driving the vehicle. Pause briefly in each gear so we can see the RPM drop/load change when each gear is engaged.

7.

Return the vehicle to Park, let it idle briefly, then shut it off.

8.

Save the second log and upload both logs for review.

Please do not drive the vehicle yet. Once I review the REV 1 logs, we can move on to the next step.

I reviewed the scanner log and uploaded Revision 2. A sample text alert was also sent to the phone on file. Flash that file, complete the same test, and send another log only if the issue remains.

Revision 1 starts and idles much better. I uploaded the requested cruise and wide-open-throttle log.

Complete every applicable item before attempting to start the engine.
